Saying "Yes!" to Yourself

I've always been ambitious and driven to achieve whatever I set my mind to.

Growing up, whenever someone told me that I couldn't do something, the little voice in my head would just whisper, "Oh yeah?  Watch me."

Sound familiar?

That determination's served me well in terms of landing all sorts of opportunities that I've wanted but might not have seemed qualified for on paper.  For example:

  • landing a job in Germany before I'd even learned the language
  • becoming a Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Education with only a B.S. in Polymer Engineering to my name
  • climbing the ranks as a Management Consultant without an MBA
  • creating and launching an app when I don't even own a smart phone.

I attribute being able to achieve those sorts of goals (and more) to a commitment I made to myself almost 15 years ago now:

Other people might tell me “no” or slam doors in my face but I will always say “yes” to myself.

In this video, I'm sharing the benefits of adopting this philosophy in the hopes that it inspires you to go after what you want.
